Hi, I’m Lisa.
I’m the owner, designer, and photographer behind Graphics Gurl Design Studios.
My graphic design story starts here: I was born creative and curious with real bonified creative genes (I checked in my DNA 😉). Creativity is like oxygen to me; I can’t live without it, and doing it is as natural as breathing.
As a child, I loved to draw, write songs and stories, and create neighborhood “magazines” for my friends.
My journey into graphic design and website design started over 20 years ago as an eager artist, anxious to learn all I could about making digital graphic images and coding websites.
I was a self-taught graphic artist and web designer (HTML and CSS back then) but decided that if I wanted to be taken seriously, I should get the “required paper proof” (college degree).
That lead me to earn a degree in Multimedia Design Technologies. My core studies included graphic and web design, video production, and animation.
A few years later, I went on to take even more college courses in web development and media communications. I’m halfway through my education to earn a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Arts with a concentration in 3D Design and Animation.
I love everything about being artistic and creating useful, pretty things, and I’ll admit, I love learning too. I’m a life-long learner, always digging into something new and exciting.
